Is the new V biome by Neogen worthing the hype?

Let’s face it: Kbeauty never ceases to amaze us every year with innovations and technologies in skincare. This contributes to ever-increasing expectations. On the test bench I have for you today 3 products from Neogen’s new VBiome line. Neogenlab is a company that was founded in 2000 in Korea. Pioneer in the last two decades for the quality and originality of its products, and is also one of my absolute favorite Korean brands!
The new V.Biome line consists of 4 products: a serum, an eye cream, a day cream and a night cream, but here I will review the last 3.

NEOGEN DERMALOGY V.BIOME ADVANCED EYE CREAM.

Although I am not a big supporter of eye creams, as they are in most of they cases purely marketing, I wanted to give this one a chance. It can be a multifunctional treatment and it is a nice 35ml tube, which is a lot. This cream does not burn the eyes, spreads very easily and absorbs leaving a dry but not matt finish. Since I sometimes treat the area around my eyes with retinol to alleviate wrinkles, I happened to have rather dry skin around the eyes area. This cream did a great job at giving elasticity and hydration.

The plus points of this cream, which I will definitely buy again, are its 5 key ingredients. Argireline, which has botox-like effects, preventing the formation of wrinkles and fine lines. The syn-coll: a tripeptide that helps dimunish the skin aging process. Effipulp, an avocado-derived peptide that helps the skin. Aquaxyl offers the 3D hydration hydraconcept for circulation of moisture throughout all skin layers and boosting of hyaluronic acid. The skin barrier is reinforced in 24 hours by limiting water loss. Collageneer, derived from white lupine, which helps skin firmness.

NEOGEN DERMALOGY V.BIOME SOOTHING & FIRMING CREAMS

The day (soothing cream) and night (firming cream) creams feature a unique pack. A built-in ‘Mini Globe Applicator’ on the cap should relieve fatigue and cares for skin elasticity through massage. It is a more hygienic way to apply the cream. I personally use it only to withdraw the product, preferring my fingers to massage the cream until it is absorbed. However, I don’t think the applicator is long enough to withdraw the cream when the will already be 1/4 of the jar. Overall, although I do appreciate the effort, I find it not 100% functional.

The two creams are exceptional and different in texture and consistency. The soothing cream, with 5 percent liposome, has a light gel-like texture, perfect in summer to apply even under a sunscreen. It leaves a dry finish but moisturizes deeply and long throughout the day.

The firming cream, on the other hand, has 10 percent liposome, showing a thicker texture, is noticeably richer to the touch and ideal as an evening treatment. Both are enriched with more than 19 vitamins, 5% panthenol, and our beloved niacinamide.
Would I buy Neogen’s V.Biome line again? The answer is yes, but not continuously: both creams are attuned to summer and spring, while I find the eye cream more versatile year-round as well.
